ABSTRACT  The global surface is divided into a series of 5ox5o element bins, each element having a spatial dimension of about 500-km. By using the weighted statistical analysis method, we get the average stress orientation of each element based on the data coming from the World Stress Map Project (WSMP) database. We then test whether the stress orientations are not random distribution within bins that pass the Rayleigh test. We further discuss the result of statistical analysis and test of the stress orientations.

The results demonstrated that the weighted coefficients method can increases the effect of high quality data in statistical analysis. In the meanwhile, the weighted coefficient method decrease the possibility which the observed data are the random distribution within the element bins, thus much possibly represent the real matter than that of equal weighted coefficient method.

 

 

 

2. .  The Data & Image Manage System About Three_Dimensional Earth Inner

                                ABSTRACT

      The manage and application of data and image about three_dimensional earth inner structure is very significant ,because  there are many data and images during the study of the three_dimension .It is very difficult to manage and reuse that if we used the traditional earth physical methods. So we develop a special system to deal with this difficulty.

      We use the technology of Database and GIS to solve the problem.

      In our Database system , we design the database structure ,meanwhile ,we develop the function models to deal with data maintenance and data format conversion. It meet the need of earth physical computing to do so.

      I our GIS system,  we first make the vertorgraph of the base map ,then create the  SHP files, so we build the connection between the section plane and the images , User click the section line ,then could get the images.

 

 

3 Morphology and Its Applications to DEM Interpolation

    Current status of DEM
Digital Elevation Modelinterpolation method and the insufficiency of widely employed interpolation methods are discussed in this paper. After carefully study the characteristic of contour line and apply the basic theory of mathematical morphology to DEM interpolation, take the advantage of image morphology transform, such as the characteristic of monotony, expansibility and anti-expansibility, a high precision algorithm for DEM interpolating from contour line that based on image morphology transform was proposed. The algorithm employs multi-scale-distance transform to interpolate terrain height among contour lines, the result DEM can guarantee the smoothness of terrain and at the same time ensure not lost original contour information. The method has the advantage of precise interpolation results and the contour line that extracted from resulted DEM not shifted from the original contour line.


 

 

 4Processing of Geomagnetic Micropulsation Signal by Wavelet Analysis

Wavelet transform is a new method in data processing and signal processing in recent years. Wavelet analysis has both a good qualities in time domain and frequency domain and is an ideal tool in analyzing unsteady signal. Signal and white noise can be discriminated based on their different singularities in wavelet transform. It is because that signal singularity has a positive lipschitz exponent while noise singularity has a negative lipschitz exponent. Geomagnetic micro pulsation signal can be well denoised based on wavelet analysis’ multi-resolution analysis feature. Results show that wavelet transform is a powerful tool in analyzing and processing geophysical signal and it is much better than traditional Fourier and short time Fourier transform in processing unsteady geophysical signals.

 6Integration of Web and database and its application to management of scientific research projects

8The software for data processing of conventional seismograph calibration
