Chapter 5. Honorary Titles

Art.20. Persons who have been a director or higher post in the society and made significant contributions to the foundation, organization, or reformation of CGS, and are unable to continue to hold the leadership post due to the reasons of health or age, can be awarded the title of Honorary President of the Board or Honorary President and can receive a certificate.
 

Art.21. Foreign geophysicists with high attainment who have made significant contributions to the development in geophysics, and take part and organize academic exchange in geophysics can be awarded honorary membership and receive a certificate upon the approval by the Standing Council and reported to the CAST.
Art.22. Members who have made significant contributions to the development in geophysics and to CGS can be awarded honorary memberships upon the recommendation by the Standing Council and the approval by the Board of Directors of CGS. ary office.
